All papers must be written in simple and straightforward language with minimal use of technical terms, and definitions of technical terms, so that the content is accessible to a wide range of readership in the field of intellectual disability, mental health, and developmental disabilities. Examples of topic areas include: research on diagnostic criteria applied to persons with intellectual disability, guidelines for psychological evaluations, use of pharmacotherapies for mental health disorders, behavioral interventions, counseling and psychotherapy, rehabilitation and educational interventions, mental health policy, community supports, clinical assessment tools, teaching guides, case reports, and treatment outcome studies.
